Busy Start to Post Lockdown Landscape

We invested in more equipment, altered teaching styles to adhere to guidelines for training, purchased quantities of hand gel a hospital would be proud of and developed our sense of humour to maintain the quality of training expected of Inveniotraining.co.uk.

We have been working with GP surgeries, dental practice for BLS.  We have continued our relationship with BCA and Hans Place in London providing EFAW+F and ILS courses.

Our new relationship with the Police has involved ILS training with staff and look forwa6to further courses. Unfortunately due to staff isolating some courses with local organisations have been moved to future dates, we remain flexible to support organisations affected.

Our home visiting service for GP surgeries goes from strength to strength. Recent acquisition of mobile printer has increased capabilities when requiring ambulance support with the ability to provide printed for ongoing care.

Looking forward we have renewed registration with Qualsafe for FREC 3 and 4 training.  We now offer work experience for medics leaving the military and are looking to be able to offer mental health first aid.

Invenio Update

I hope you are all well and keeping safe through these strange and unprecedented times.  It has been difficult for so many people and there is still uncertainty ahead as we come to understand the coming phases of returning to normality.

For Invenio Training the new norm continues with all our staff working for the NHS full time either for the ambulance service or as for myself in primary care. It is certainly getting busier with people listening to the message the NHS is open for business.

As previously mentioned events have been rescheduled for later in the year and next year. Training dates have again been moved to later in the year for those affected by the lock down.

Long hours have resulted in witnessing some amazing sunrises over the Chilterns.

We can offer a series of online courses in first aid to help keep skills current and health and safety.  Please do contact us if you are interested.

To all my green Brothers and Sisters keep safe and smiling, to all my surgery family your a great team to work with.

To all my customers keep safe and see you on the other side of Corvid19.

Good Bye and Hello

InvenioTraining Ltd like so many other businesses is temporarily on hold.

All our staff are NHS workers and are now focusing full time on their clinical roles.

Once we have reached the other side, we will all be back and looking forward to catching up and completing training courses.

We are of course able to answer phone calls and emails, please be patient if responses are delayed.

There are options of online modules to keep up to date on first aid skills and the HSE have released a statement on expiring first aid qualifications (below).

Keep well, keep safe and look after each other.

We shall look forward to saying hello again once this is over.

Regards

Bruce and the team.

Please find information released by the HSE for Employers, released Tuesday 19th March 2020

[ Start
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is aware that people holding Offshore Medic (OM), Offshore First Aid (OFA), First Aid at Work (FAW) or Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificates nearing expiry date, might experience disruption to access to requalification training as a result of events or circumstances generated by the coronavirus pandemic.HSE’s current guidance on the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981: https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l74.pdf and the Offshore Installations and Pipeline Works (First-Aid) Regulations 1989 https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l123.pdf is that those holding an OM, OFA, FAW or EFAW qualification should undertake retraining before their original certificate expires and HSE strongly recommends that employers, and individuals holding those qualifications should plan for requalification training well in advance of expiry dates. If however requalification training is prevented for reasons associated directly with coronavirus or by complying with related government advice, it is reasonable and practical to extend the validity of current certificates by up to 3 months. Anyone taking advantage of this extension should be able to describe clearly their reasons for delaying requalification training, and demonstrate steps they have taken to undertake the training, if required. This guidance comes into effect for certificates expiring on or after 16th March 2020. HSE will review this matter over the coming months and will issue further statements as necessary. Also, the Department of Education has commented as follows: The Department for Education supports the HSE statement regarding the extension of first aid certificates during coronavirus emergency and that it can be applied to paediatric first aid certificates held by staff in early years provision.
