Last Day at BCA

#firstaidtraining

Last day of training for BCA staff, the weather held and we managed most of the day outside.

The team spent the afternoon having to attempt to resuscitate the fashion victims which were my manikins.

Really enjoyable course, looking forward to the next one.

FAAW at BCA College

#firstaidtraining

Hot, very hot.  Great excuse to spend the days out in the sun covering the FAAW syllabus.

Always a pleasure returning to BCA, great staff, great venue and this week great weather.

Heading back next week to complete day three and back in September for a second FAAW.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Summer Camp

#caninefirstaid

This is our third year working with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People providing opportunities for local children to experience life at The Grange and working with dog's.

It has been popular, the weather helped along with the amazing staff and wonderful dogs.  It wouldn't have been possible without a group of lovely young people all with a common interest in dogs.

Two Arms, Two Legs, Bears and Mats

#firstaidtraining

A very varied week so far.

At the weekend an outdoor first aid course with a couple of to the States to complete a long distance trail complete with bears, an Emergency First Aid Course for staff from UK Mats and I attended a scenario meeting with River and Canal Trust as we're providing medical cover for their Half Marathon in September which includes canals from Aylesbury to Wendover.

The images are examples of Mats at UK Mats, Mats so good they literally hang them on the walls.

Looking ahead, a couple of admin days, a breakfast meeting and an A&E shift in Oxford.

Bouldering with the Pony Club

#adventuresports

A little break from the norm, I ran a bouldering session at BCA College for the Hughendon Valley Pony Club who are on their annual camp.

Really nice group, very up for climbing and enjoyed the random games we came up with.

First Aid Training

#firstaidtraining

It's has been a busy time since last post.  Mostly A&E work, a couple of presentations at business meetings and lots of admin.

I did run a CPC first aid course for drivers for Coates HGV and Just Training in Slough.

Looking ahead more A&E, a random climbing session for the Pony Club and prep for a busy spell teaching.
