People's Postcode Lottery

#eventcover

What a lovely day.  The People's Postcode Lottery had £3 million to give away today, it was fantastic to see life changing sums of money being given to local people.  The lottery also gives money to several charities, all in all very worthwhile.

The venue was West Wycombe Park, apparently the marquee is the one used in the Great British Bake Off.

It has been a busy few weeks, several frontline shifts and lots of admin.  Looking ahead more frontline shifts, training in Newbury and a First Aid At Work Requalification at BCA.

Maidenhead, London and Rio

#firstaidtraining

This has been a busy week for us with schools going back and staff needing training.

We've provided first aid training for Oldfield School in Maidenhead and working for Salvus I spent two days in London at Heathside Preparatory School.

We provided medical cover at an event in Stoke Mandeville where the Heritage Flame for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games is being hosted.

A Paralympic athlete ignited the Heritage Flame in front of an audience of 1500 at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium, thousands more in Aylesbury's Vale Park and millions across the globe in September.

Looking ahead Saturday I'm working at the Troxy in London for Fightmedics covering MMA, Sunday a paediatric course for our NCT group and next week back to BCA for a FAAW.

It has been popular, the weather helped along with the amazing staff and wonderful dogs.  It wouldn't have been possible without a group of lovely young people all with a common interest in dogs.

A Week of Two Halves

#eventcover
